Box Score Greensboro, NC (12/05/03) -- Guilford defeated Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Randolph-Macon Woman's College, 72-44, for its 27th straight home basketball win Friday night. Guilford's Jennifer King (Reidsville, NC/Rockingham County) and Dionne Graham (Savannah, GA/Jenkins) scored 10 points apiece in the Quakers' (4-2, 2-0 ODAC) third straight win and their 13th in a row over the Wildcats (1-4, 0-3 ODAC).
Guilford forced Randolph-Macon Woman's College into 20 first-half turnovers and sprinted to a 49-19 halftime lead. King hit both of her three-point attempts and had eight of her 10 points by intermission. The Quakers made 55.6 percent of their first-half shots and converted the 20 Wildcats' miscues into 22 points. Only two of Guilford's 15 players had not scored a point by halftime as coach Stephanie Flamini substituted liberally throughout her home debut with the Quakers. All of Guilford players scored by the end of the game. Only two Quakers saw more than 14 minutes of court time.
Randolph-Macon Woman's College outscored the Quakers in the second half, 25-23, but drew no closer than 27 points in the second half. Senior Amy Dameron (Fredericksburg, VA/Courtland) paced the Wildcats with 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
