Box Score Greensboro, NC -- Junior Jennifer King led three Guilford players in double-figure scoring with 14 points as the Quakers downed visiting Randolph-Macon Woman's College, 81-57, Tuesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's basketball game. Guilford's (9-13, 7-10 ODAC) fourth straight win secured a sweep of the season series with the Wildcats (2-18, 2-14 ODAC) and clinched one of eight spots in the ODAC Tournament Feb. 24-26.
King tallied 12 points in the first half and helped the hosts grab a 39-18 intermission lead. Guilford broke open a three-point game midway through the period with a 17-7 spurt that featured eight points by King. The Quakers scored the last 11 points of the half and led by as many as 32 points with 14:36 left in the game.
Both teams substituted liberally and all 11 Guilford players scored. Quakers' freshman Brittiany Green, the reigning ODAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, notched her fourth straight double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Senior Courtney Hill posted her third double-double in four games with 12 points and 10 boards. Sophomore Dionne Graham narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and a career- and game-best 10 assists. The Quakers scored 31 points off of 25 Wildcats' turnovers and enjoyed a 44-20 advantage in points in the paint.
Senior Amanda Workman led Randolph-Macon Woman's College with 12 points. Junior Jennifer Prewitt had four points, a team-best eight rebounds and a game-high three blocks.
The win ended an unbeaten four-game home stand for the Quakers. Guilford visits Roanoke Saturday (2/12) in a 2:00 p.m. league affair. The Wildcats travel to Bridgewater Thursday (2/10) at 7:00 p.m.
