Greensboro, N.C. (9/14/06) -- Seven different students scored for Guilford in the Quakers' 9-0 win over visiting Hollins in both team's Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opener Thursday.

Jennah Carter and Jordan Miller each scored five points with two goals and an assist in the Quakers' (3-2, 1-0 ODAC) third straight win. Miller's two goals less than three minutes apart boosted the Quakers' edge to 5-0, which was the halftime score.

Erin Rothweiler and Amanda Sperr each added a goal and an assist for Guilford.

Freshman Allison Daniel made her collegiate debut with over 70 minutes in goal in relief of senior starter Veronica Zych. Daniel made four saves to preserve Guilford's first shutout of the year.

Laura Bieging made 10 saves in goal for Hollins (1-3, 0-1 ODAC), which was outshot 35-5.

Guilford returns to action Saturday against ODAC-rival Virginia Wesleyan at 1:00 p.m.
