Box Score Lynchburg, Va. (02/22/08) – Guilford College's women's basketball season ended with Friday's 60-59 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) loss at Randolph College. The loss, combined with Emory & Henry College's 82-81 overtime win over Washington and Lee University, gives the Wasps' the eighth and final spot in next week's ODAC Tournament. The Quakers end the season with an 11-14 record (6-14 ODAC).
Randolph enjoyed a 34-23 halftime advantage that grew to as many as 13 points early in the second half before Guilford rallied and tied the game at 51-51. Katie Rechnitzer's basket with 18 seconds left provided the final margin.
Freshman Lauren LeFevers led the Quakers with 15 points. Ann Seufer added 12 points, thanks to three three-point baskets, which helped her break her own record for trifectas in a season. She finished the year with 62 three-pointers. Shevon Hackett added 12 points and a team-best eight rebounds off the bench.
Lindsay Cross paced three Randolph students in double-figure scoring with 17 points. She also had eight rebounds. Katie Rechnitzer chipped in 16 points and Michelle Brockman totaled 15 points and a game-high 17 rebounds, eight on the offensive glass. The Wildcats enjoyed a 46-33 rebounding edge and had 18 caroms off the offensive glass.
