Guilford (8-7, 5-5 ODAC) closed to within a basket on six different occasions, but were unable to overtake Virginia Wesleyan who shot six-of-eight from the free-throw line in the final 1:49 of the game.

The Quakers' Jazlyn Gibbs scored a game-high 17 points and was joined by Alexa Williams, who fell one rebound away from a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.
