BRIDGEWATER, Va. (1/8/10) - Emileigh Lambert scored a game-high 12 points in Bridgewater College's 59-43 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball victory over Guilford College Friday night.

The Eagles (4-4, 2-3 ODAC) overcame 30 turnovers with superior rebounding and defense to post their 11th straight victory over Guilford (6-5, 2-3 ODAC) in Nininger Hall.

Lambert scored her first eight points in the final 2:24 of the first half during an 8-0 Bridgewater run that opened a 32-21 Eagles' lead at the break. The teams combined for 29 turnovers and neither club shot better than 33 percent in the first period.

The Eagles' run continued into the second half as Jordan Burkholder scored nine of her 11 points during an 18-2 Bridgewater spurt that opened a 50-23 edge with 14:07 to play.

Jazlyn Gibbs led Guilford with nine points. The Quakers were held to 28.1 percent shooting from the floor and outrebounded 53-36. Alexa Williams made a game-high six steals for Guilford.

Guilford returns to action Saturday (1/9) at Eastern Mennonite University at 4:00 p.m.
