GREENSBORO, N.C. (10/7/10) --  Visiting Greensboro College pulled out a five-set volleyball victory over Guilford College Thursday night. The Pride won the contest, 25-27, 25-18, 25-18, 24-26, 15-12.

The Pride (18-5) was led by Brittany Hunsucker, Sha McDuffie and Karen Riffanacht, who all recorded more than 20 kills.  McDuffie led the way with 24 kills on .300 hitting, Hunsucker had putaways 22 and Riffanacht added 20 in Greensboro's second win of the year over its crosstown rival.  Danielle Simpson chipped in with 21 digs and McDuffie added 17 of her own.  Dara Sandknop also had a big night with 61 assists.

Guilford (9-9) was led by Brittany Freeman's 19 kills on .318 hitting.  She also recorded 10 digs for her second straight double-double.  Taylor Whitley came up with 39 assists and teammate Taylor Phillips had 19 digs.  Malikah French helped keep the Quakers in a hard-fought match as she registered four blocks.

The Quakers will be back in action Friday (10/8) as they travel to Methodist University for a nonconference matchup at 7:00 p.m.
