GREENSBORO, N.C. (2/21/10) -- Guilford College swept Peace College in a nonconference doubleheader Sunday to extend its best start in school history. The 6-2 and 5-3 victories improve the Quakers' record to 5-0-1. Peace drops to 3-3 with the losses.

Jessica Burcham improved to 4-0 with a complete-game four-hitter in the opener. She got offensive support from Charissa Duncan and Kimberly Keys, who both homered and had two RBIs in the win. Courtney Kozar also had two RBIs for Guilford.

Morgan Andrews homered and Autumn Yoder had two hits and an RBI for Guilford in game two. Shelby Bowser notched her first win of the season in the nightcap. Peace's Courtney Long had three of the Pacers' 12 hits, plus a run batted in.

Guilford visits Averett University next Sunday (2/28).
