Box Score SALEM, Va. (2/25/10) -- Meg Ingram scored 13 of her team-high 19 points in the second half to lead third-seeded Washington and Lee University to a 72-66 win over number-six Guilford College in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament quarterfinals Thursday night.
Two Ingram free throws with 4:50 remaining opened a 61-51 Generals' edge. The Quakers (14-12) answered with a 9-2 run that featured an Alexa Williams three-point play and six of Jasmine Wood's eight points. Two Jazlyn Gibbs' free throws with 2:08 left made it a 63-60 game, but the Generals (16-9) preserved the win by converting nine-of-11 free throws in the last two minutes.
Becca Bolton added 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for Washington and Lee, which advances to face seventh-seeded Eastern Mennonite University. The Royals were a surprising 69-64 winner over second-seeded Randolph-Macon College earlier in the night. The Generals' Felice Herman also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards.
Guilford's Gibbs scored a career- and game-high 26 points, 15 in the second half. Alexa Williams, one of four Quakers' seniors playing their final game, finished with 15 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year. Ann Seufer scored eight points in her final college game and ends her career ranked 14th in school history with 1,027 points.
