Women's Soccer Victorious on Senior Day

The Guilford College women's soccer team hosted Randolph College at Armfield Athletic Center. The Quakers defeated the WildCats, 3-1.

Prior to the game, the Quakers honored nine seniors: Corby Brooke, Madison Green, Kayla Gumula, Sarah Hall, Claire Hill, Khaliah Jones, Andrea Lotero, Gracie Mayer and Deanna Schlott.

The first half started with Green taking the first shot in the matchup. The half ended with an even battle between both teams, 0-0.

The Quakers wasted little time in the second half as Olivia Santos scored the first goal for the Quakers within the first 10 minutes. Guilford was able to increase its advantage with a goal by Baylee Greenwood, assisted by Hill.

The visiting team came through with a goal at the 77-minute mark by Sterlyn Woodward but the Quakers quickly responded with a goal by Green, assisted by Crystal Rivas. 

GC held advantage in shots on goal (8-5) while the WildCats took seven fouls compared to eight for the Quakers. In goal, Ady Franken made four saves.

Guilford will hit the road to Sweet Briar, Virginia on Saturday, October 29 to face Vixens. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
