Men's Basketball Picks Up Road Win

The Guilford College men's basketball team traveled to Shenandoah University. The Quakers came out ahead winning 56-39. 

The Quakers started off hot, finding themselves up by nine, 12-3, from a couple of free throws and a three-pointer by Myles Washington. From here Guilford was able to keep a safe distance from the Hornets. In the first half, the most the Quakers led by was 11 but that was cut to eight by the end of the first, 24-16.

The second half started off similar to the first where Guilford went on a run that included back-to-back three pointers from Luke Proctor and Caleb Farrish. With 13 minutes remaining in the game, the Quakers found themselves up 18 points, 37-19. Guilford was able to manage this lead the rest of the way and at one point found themselves up 24.

In the second half Guilford shot an outstanding 66.7% from the three-point line. The stat leaders for the Quakers were Washington with 14 points and one block, Farrish with 11 points, and Rob Littlejohn with 10 points, four rebounds and two steals. 

The Quakers take on their cross-town rival Greensboro College on Saturday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m. in Regan-Brown Field House.
