The Guilford College men's basketball team hosted the Centre College Colonels in its final game of the Holiday Classic. The Quakers took over the Colonels with a score of 76-39.

The first half started off a bit slow as both teams struggled to make their baskets within the first three minutes. Centre (3-8) was able to score the first two points but Guilford (10-2) responded by taking the lead with help from Jorden Davis and Tyler Dearman, 3-2.  

The Quakers were able to hold the lead throughout the first half and increased their lead by 14 points (32-18) at the half.

The Quakers kept their momentum and brought it to the second half where they were able to score five-consecutive points on the Colonels, 42-25.The visiting squad did not give up as they continued to fight and put up points on the board. 

Towards the middle of the half, Guilford was up by 20 points and did not give Centre a chance to catch up. By the end of the half, GC continued to increase its lead and ended the game with a margin of 37 points. 

Davis led the team scoring 15 points, adding six rebounds. Gabe Proctor followed behind dropping 12 points off the bench. Julius Burch led the team with the most rebounds, two offensive and five defensive. As a team, Guilford shot 43.8% (28-64) from the field and made eight of its 12 free throw attempts.

Guilford will remain at home and host the Washington and Lee University Generals on Wednesday, January 4 at 7:00 p.m.
