The Guilford College Women's Rugby team continued its season at Newberry College on Sunday, October 1. The Quakers played four matches in round-robin fashion as the team went 2-2.

On the weekend, the team recorded 48 tackles and scored 11 tries on the day. Freshman Hannah Hatfield scored her first collegiate try.

On the weekend as a whole, Quaker Head Coach Christine Newcomb commented that it was a "we had a really impressive day at Newberry, defeating two Division II teams and placing 2nd overall. Once again the workload was spread across the field, I am most proud of the team effort that went into our final match of the day against Lander."

Guilford will host its home round-robin tournament on Sunday, October 15.
