The Guilford College women's soccer team made the trek to Ashland, Virginia to face Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets. The Quakers and the Yellow jackets played to a 1-1 draw.
From the start, Randolph-Macon placed three shots on goal but
Madison Musgrave made each save. In the 16th minute, the Yellow Jackets took the lead off an Olivia Owens goal.
Guilford's first chance came in the 21st minute when the team drew a foul that resulted in a penalty kick.
Baylee Greenwood stepped up and converted the opportunity to even the game at one.
RMC had one more shot on goal but Musgrave made the stop to ensure the 1-1 tie at the half.
In the second half, the hosts totaled 10 shots on goal but Musgrave stopped each chance and secured the 1-1 tie. Randolph-Macon had the advantage in shots (25-8) and shots on goal (16-3 while the Quakers took six corners to five for the other side.
Guilford (11-2-3, 4-2-2) travels to Lynchburg, Virginia to face Randolph College on Wednesday, October 25. Start time is set for 4:00 p.m.
