The Guilford women's volleyball team had a showdown against the Carolina University Bruins. The Quakers swept the Bruins, 3-0. The game opened to honor this years' seniors; Vanessa Johnson, Paige McDonald, Lydia Saunders, and Faith Fennell. 

The first set opened with two points to the Bruins. The Quakers then rallied back and inched ahead for the remainder of the set. Once tied at 23, GC secured the last two points, with game point being a kill by Natalie Moore, closing 25-23. 

Set two began with a back and forth exchange of points. At one moment, the Quakers were ahead by six. However, the Bruins had a slight comeback, tying the game at 16. This didn't last long as Guilford regained the advantage, resulting in a win 25-22. 

Similar to the first, Guilford and Carolina were neck and neck for the majority of the third set. As the crowd began to make some noise, the Quakers again got the best of the Bruins towards the end of the set, achieving victory, 25-20. 

The game was nothing short of excitement, with the help of 15 kills by Natalie Moore, as well as eight and seven by Paige McDonald and Kaci Johnson, respectively. Maddi Page contributed an impressive 38 assists as Madison Bozarth finished with 19 digs.  

Guilford awaits the release of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament field. The Quakers will play on Tuesday, November 7 in the quarterfinals.
