Women's Lacrosse Falls in Conference Opener

The Guilford College women's lacrosse team hosted the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets to open their ODAC play. The Yellow Jackets took home the win with a score of 20-1.

The Quakers came out of the gate slow and gave up eight-straight goals. In the second quarter, Guilford gave up four more goals until Sydne Sawyer was able to put up the only goal for the Quakers. The goal was assisted by Maggie Hartnett. 

In the second half, the heat started to get to the players and the scoring slowed down. With the slower game the Yellow Jackets scored the final eight goals of the contest. 

Guilford hits the road to face the Generals of Washington and Lee University on Saturday, April 1. Start time is set for 12:00 p.m.
