The Guilford College women's soccer team faced Maryville College (TN) in a neutral site battle in Georgia. Despite a difference in total shots, the Quakers and the Scots played to a scoreless draw.

In the opening half, Maryville controlled most of the play. The Scots tallied 10 shots with three on goal but Ady Franken stood tall in net as she stopped each one. 

Guilford's first and only shot of the half came in the 38th minute as Baylee Greenwood tried to break the tie but it was unsuccessful. Franken was forced to make one more save to preserve the 0-0 score going into the half.

The second half was calmer than the first as both teams only had two shots each with none on goal. As the game progressed into the 71st minute, weather rolled in and forced an early stoppage and call to the game.

The Quakers totaled three shots compared to 14 for the Scots. GC held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-3.

Guilford returns to the Armfield Athletic Center on Wednesday, September 13 against Methodist University. Start time is set for 7:00 p.m.
