BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- For stop number one on their Virginia away weekend trip, the women's tennis team battled against Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon along with the men's squad. An early doubles deficit was costly, as the Quakers were dealt a 7-2 conference loss.

Guilford drops to 6-7, and 3-4 against Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponents. Bridgewater heads back to .500 at 7-7, and 2-4 versus conference foes.

Despite the loss, Quakers Jolie Nhouyvanisvong (Greensboro, N.C.) and Molly Wilson (Salisbury, N.C.) picked up wins, their second in three matches. Nhouyvanisvong was victorious at no. 2 singles by a 6-4, 7-5 scoreline, and Wilson won hers by the reverse, 7-5, 6-4 at no. 3 singles.

Tomorrow concludes GC's up-state trip, with a matinee versus Shenandoah on the 7th. Start time is set for 12:00 p.m.
