The Wildcats wasted no time asserting themselves, jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first six minutes of gameplay. Owen Kupsey led the charge with two quick goals in succession, both assisted by Elliot Dotson. Dotson, Harrison Schlachta, and Jake Small each found the back of the net moments after Kupsey's two piece. Guilford struggled to generate offensive momentum early, with Penn's defense limiting them to just five shots in the opening frame.
The Quakers responded in the second quarter, finally breaking through when Campbell scored unassisted at the 13:44 mark. Workman followed just a minute later to cut the deficit to 6-2, giving GC some type of momentum. Penn quickly responded with a blow of their own, extending their lead to 7-2, Workman struck again off an assist from Mills, keeping Guilford within striking distance. Woods closed out the half with a goal at 1:27, bringing the score to 8-4 heading into the half.
Penn took control in the third, outsourcing Guilford 9-2 in a dominant stretch. Woods opened the half with a man-up goal off a feed from Workman, but Penn continued to pester the Quaker's backline. Will Ehret, Jayden Hazzard, Aiden McFalls, Kupsey, Dotson, and Small were instrumental in the scoring spree, pushing Penn's lead to 17-6 by the end of the period. Woods added a tally of his own at the 7:46 mark, but the deficit proved insurmountable.
Guilford fought hard in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Wildcats 4-3, but unfortunately it was too late. Crowley secured his fifth of the season off a pass from Brown at 13:45. Mills secured his seventh goal of the season, with a helper from Brown. Woods added his fourth and fifth goals of the day to wrap up the game. Despite the Quaker's late push, the gap was too unbearable as Penn secured the 20-10 victory.
Guilford will look to bounce back as they continue their homestead, facing Lake Forest College, on March 14. First face-off is set for 4 P.M
