Guilford College

Dr. Alan Reynolds, MD, CAQ-SM enters his first season as Medical Director, Orthopaedic Surgeon serving Guilford College student-athletes under Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist after the organizations entered a collaborative agreement in the Spring of 2026. 

Dr. Reynolds is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in shoulder, elbow and sports medicine, and an assistant professor at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. His practice in Guilford County focuses on getting patients of all ages back to the activities that are important to them, whether that be competitive sports or pain-free daily activities.

During his training, Dr. Reynolds participated in the care of the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and several men's and women's teams at Fordham University and Columbia University. A former athlete himself, Dr. Reynolds is a former professional and collegiate hockey player and currently enjoys running, cycling and hiking.
