Dr. Marc-Edwin Saint-Louis
, MD, MPH, CAQ-SM enters his first season as Team Physician, Non-Surgical Primary Care & Sports Medicine serving Guilford College student-athletes under Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist after the organizations entered a collaborative agreement in the Spring of 2026.
Dr. Saint-Louis believes movement is medicine, not only for recovering from injuries, but as prevention against chronic diseases. Sports medicine allows him to help people optimize their health, stay active and live better lives through exercise.
Dr. Saint-Louis is board certified in family medicine and hold a certificate of additional qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine. His clinical interests include family medicine, primary care, sports medicine, pediatric sports medicine and nonoperative orthopedics.
Dr. Saint-Louis' own ligament injury inspired my career choice. He learned about the power of the right rehabilitation and guidance, and his experiences motivated him to provide optimal care for patients who suffer sports injuries and related conditions.
Dr. Saint-Louis received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Valdosta State University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Morehouse School of Medicine. He received his medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine and completed residency in family medicine at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Saint-Louis completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Northside Hospital.
Outside of work, most of Dr. Saint-Louis' time is centered around his wife and two sons. He describes himself as a foodies who loves exploring new restaurants as well as traveling and being outdoors. He stays active with weightlifting, hiking and biking. Dr. Saint-Louis is also a fan of grilling and smoking meats.
