Guilford's Imafidon Named ODAC Player of the Week

Box Score

Greensboro, NC -- Guilford senior Tim Imafidon (Raleigh, NC/Wake Forest-Rolesville) received the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week Award for the week of October 6, the league announced Monday. He also won the prize for the week of September 15.

A 6-2, 215-pound forward, Imafidon tallied four goals and two assists in two Quakers' victories last week and tied the school record for career goals. He scored a goal and an assist in Guilford's 4-1 triumph at Chowan October 7 and matched his career high with seven points in the Quakers' 4-0 win over Southern Virginia four days later. Imafidon scored three goals and an assist against the Knights for his second hat trick of the year and the third of his career.

Imafidon's three goals against Southern Virginia raised his career total to 39, matching the Guilford standard set by Chris Jenkins from 1985-88. Imafidon entered Monday's match at Virginia Wesleyan with 10 goals, equaling his career high. He also has four assists for a team-high 24 points, one point shy of his personal best and the eighth-highest season total in school history. Through 63 career matches, Imafidon has 39 goals and 13 assists for 91 points, second only to Jenkins' 114 points on the Quakers' career list. He has led the Quakers in scoring in each of his three seasons and is a three-time all-conference and two-time all-region selection.

Coach Liam Behrens' Quakers (6-4, 2-2 ODAC) have won four straight matches with Imafidon netting at least one goal in each win. Guilford visits league-leading Virginia Wesleyan Monday (10/13) at 4:00 pm.
