GREENSBORO, N.C. (4/14/10) -- Carrie Ernst scored three of her game-high four goals in the first half of Guilford College's 14-5 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse win over Sweet Briar College Wednesday night.

Guilford scored five times in the first 10 minutes and opened an 11-0 halftime lead. The Quakers (6-7, 3-3 ODAC) outshot the Vixens (3-11, 1-6 ODAC), 22-5, in the opening period and goalie Alyzza-May Callahan made three saves.

D.J. Abernathy's free-position goal 1:48 into the second half got the Vixens on the board. Sweet Briar outscored Guilford, 5-3, in the period behind Mallory Lengel's three goals.

Seven different Quakers scored goals in the game, including Summer Frazier, who had three tallies. Ernst, a senior, added an assist and three draw controls in her final home game. Caroline Reeves and Ellie Merritt both scored twice. Merritt added a team-high four ground ball. Liza Mettler played the second half in goal and made a career-high seven saves.
