The Guilford College women's basketball team traveled to Ashland, Virginia to face the Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, the Quakers fell to Randolph-Macon, 56-45.

The game started off hot with the Quakers taking the lead by making the first seven points with help from J'la Hinson and Carleigh Perry. The hosts were able to knock the scoring streak and cut the gap to one (11-10) at the end of the first.

The second started off with both squads exchanging buckets. Randolph-Macon stole the lead at the eight minute mark but the Quakers responded with a three pointer by Lindsay Gauldin tying the score, 17-17. The Yellow Jackets went into halftime winning the second quarter, 32-23.

To start off the third quarter, Guilford was able to make the first two points by Anna Giannopoulou. Although the Quakers were trailing behind by 10, they continued to fight and cut the gap, 41-35.

In the fourth, Guilford was able to continue to cut the lead down but was not able to regain the lead. Randolph-Macon went on to win by the 11-point margin.

J'la Hinson led Guilford with 10 points, three rebounds, and two assists. Carleigh Perry finished with seven rebounds and two steals. GC shot 10-17 (58.8%) from the free-throw line while Randolph-Macon shot 1-10 (10%).

The Quakers' next game is at home on Saturday, December 17 against Pfeiffer University. Start time is set for 1:00 p.m.
