GREENSBORO, N.C. – Set to sport a new look on the pitch, and on the sidelines, the Guilford College women's soccer team released their 2025 schedule on Tuesday morning.
Winning a dozen games to eclipse the double-digit win threshold for the fourth-straight season, the Quakers 12-5-2 record from a year ago included a 6-3-1 mark in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play and a postseason berth although they did fall to Randolph-Macon College in the first round. Now
Dakota Rock '15 returns to his alma mater to take the helm of a women's soccer program in a state of transition, not only on the bench, but on the pitch with seven of the 11 Quakers with double-digit starts in 2024 having moved on via graduation or the transfer portal, including three of their program-record matching four All-ODAC honorees from last season. But Rock is excited for the season ahead.
"I am excited to get rolling this season in my first year with the program," Head Coach
Dakota Rock '15 said. "The blend of opponents this year will provide a test for the team and prepare us for the ODAC tournament. We are really looking forward to build on the foundation in place, while also climbing to new heights within the conference."

The Monarchs of Methodist University visit Guilford next to continue a busy opening week of games on Wednesday, September 3
rd at 7:00 PM. No opponent outside of the ODAC has defeated GC more often than their in-state rivals from Fayetteville, who hold the all-time edge, 5-20-1, but the Quakers have turned the tide of the rivalry the last two years, winning consecutive matchups for the first time since 2005 and 2006.
A full week later, the Quakers make a trip over to Raleigh to battle Meredith College on Wednesday, September 10
th at 4:00 PM. Victorious in the last two head-to-heads on either side of the COVID year in 2019 and 2021, GC has closed the gap all-time to an 8-10 disadvantage with the last matchup requiring double-overtime before a 1-0 Guilford decision.

st at 4:00 PM. A team Guilford has beaten more-often than anyone else, with a 35-1-0 all-time mark, HU's lone victory came back in 2013 while the cardinal and grey dropped a season-high nine goals against their adversary last season.
Following that up, GC battles in a ruthless pair of consecutive contests, albeit on their home turf, first when reigning ODAC Champion Washington & Lee University makes the trip to Greensboro on Saturday, October 4
th for a 2:00 PM clash. The Quakers hung around with the eventual Sweet-Sixteen-bound Generals last season, trailing just 1-0 through 70 minutes of action before W&L created some distance to win their 11
th-straight and remain unbeaten at 33-0-6 all-time.
The second of the brutal mini-homestand sees Randolph-Macon College come to Appenzeller Field at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, October 8
th. The lone squad the Quakers encountered twice a season ago, the squads went blow-for-blow in both matchups with them, playing to a 1-1 draw in the regular season before the Yellow Jackets eliminated GC in the ODAC Tournament, giving the hosts some added incentive entering this season's clash.
Hitting the road next, Guilford ventures to Bridgewater College on Saturday, October 11
th for a 4:00 PM match with the Eagles who hold an 15-8-2 advantage all-time in this clash that will be a rematch of the 2023 ODAC Quarterfinals. Finishing the regular season, Guilford welcomes Eastern Mennonite University to town on Wednesday, October 29
th at 7:00 PM. Drawing even in the all-time head-to-head at 12-12-4 last fall, the Quakers have won five of the last six matchups with a draw mixed in there, while their four breakeven results with the Royals are tied for second-most against any active opponent, behind just W&L.
