The scored remained 1-0 until until Carnovale netted his third goal of the year in the 63rd minute for a 2-0 Quakers' lead.

Lynchburg pulled to within 2-1 when Donald Hart III notched his fifth goal of the season in the 70th minute. Lynchburg held a 19-8 edge in shots, including 11-3 in the second half, but just four shots made it on goal.
