RIDGEWATER, Va. - The Guilford College cross country teams took part in the ODAC Championships hosted by Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Va. on Saturday morning, with the men's squad securing a 10th place finish among team finishes.
The field was comprised of 10 teams for the men, while eight squads factored into the team results for the women. The men's course on the campus of Bridgewater College was an 8K with the women completing a 6K trek. Washington & Lee took the team crown on both the men's and women's sides.
Yassine Aallam (Holly Springs, N.C.) was the top finisher on the men's side, running a 32:25.4 for an 89th place finish out of 107 runners. His placing ranked as the best as an individual at the conference championship meet since Nate Warden took 72
nd back in 2021. Almost immediately behind Allam was
Jeremy Harway (Apex, N.C.), finishing in 91st after running a time of 32:31.7.
Tkwon Davis (Warren County, N.C.) secured a top-100 finish, placing 99th with a PR time of 36:08.7.
Trenten Torain (Durham, N.C.) ran a time of 38:11.8, nabbing 102nd, while
David Holland made his Quaker cross country debut, and rounded out GC scorers placing 104th with his time of 39:15.4.
Ke'Shaun Alston (Warrenton, N.C.) and
JC Yañez (Thomasville, N.C.) rounded out the field for Guilford, as non-scorers, finishing in 105th and 107th place, running times of 41:23.1 and 43:46.1 respectively.
For the women.
Piper Campbell (Wilmington, N.C.) earned a 75th place finish out of 89 competitors, finishing with a time of 28:54.5.
Alyssa Daniel (Spring Lake, N.C.) came in close behind, setting a PR mark of 29:56.0 to come in 78th.
The Quakers will return to the course for the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championship hosted by Roanoke College at Green Hill Park in Salem, Va. on Saturday, November 15th. Start time is to be determined.
