Box Score

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Kirstin Norris scored five goals and Natalie Ritchey added four scores and three assists in Greensboro College's 16-10 lacrosse win over visiting Guilford College Saturday at Pride Field. The win ended a streak of four straight Quakers' wins in the season series between the crosstown rivals.

Guilford's Marina Bailey scored the first of her team-high four goals 16:47 before halftime to give the Quakers (3-5) a 4-3 lead. It proved Guilford's lone advantage as Greensboro (9-3) answered with five straight goals and closed the half on a 7-2 run. Norris and Alexa Besch both scored twice during the Greensboro spurt, which resulted in a 10-6 halftime lead.

Bailey opened the second-half scoring with her third goal, but Greensboro answered with three straight scores in two minutes to take a 13-7 edge. Guilford got to within 13-9, but no closer, as Norris and Ritchey had a hand in four of Greensboro's six second-half goals.

Ritchey's seven points led all scorers. She also contributed three ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers. Norris scooped up six ground balls and seven draws, in addition to causing four turnovers.  Besch, Amira Khatib and Ashlynn Parks each scored twice. Kaleigh Hemstock stopped nine shots in goal and collected four ground balls.

Bailey's four goals paced the Quakers' offense. Amanda Dionne added three goals and an assist. Summer Fowler scored twice and caused two turnovers. Carter MacLeod forced four miscues and scored once. Sammi Milbourn made 10 saves and four ground balls in goal.
