FOREST, Va. – Shiloh Gray (Lexington, N.C.) notched a gem of an outing against Methodist University logging a complete game one-hitter during the 2-0 victory for the Guilford College softball team to claim Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Pitcher of the Week honors for the week ending on March 1
st, as announced by the conference offices on Monday afternoon.
In the graduate student's first start of her 2026 campaign, Gray continued her success at the top of the rotation for the Quakers through a commanding 7.0 innings pitched, only surrendering one hit and one walk, while striking out five Monarch batters in the process. While known for her stellar delivery in the circle, Gray would additionally bashed well at the plate, slashing .333 (3-9) throughout both contests against Methodist.
Gray currently holds a 0.75 ERA through two appearances in the circle, ranking eighth in the ODAC and 67th in NCAA DIII. Gray is atop the ranks with her complete game start against Methodist, ranking sixth in the ODAC, 65th in the country respectively.
Gray would make her mark in the Guilford College softball history books, earning her second career conference weekly recognition, previously earning Player of the Week honors for her work at the plate during the 2024 season on the week ending on March 25
th. This award is the second-straight ODAC weekly award received by Gray in the list of Guilford College softball honorees, with the last separate Quaker recognized being Alli Clemens '24 during the 2022 season on the week of February 28
th.
